Loving others can be very difficult. How do we move forward with God's command to love others? We examine our perfect example, the Lord Jesus, and His interaction with the disciples in the upper room where he washes their feet. Even the feet of Judas Iscariot. Listen in as we look at Christ's example, talk about washing other's feet, and about how we ought to let others wash out feet.

Episode 55: Treasured Discoveries
A Thankful Heart

Does it seem strange to you that we, as believers, are commanded to give thanks? We teach our children to say "thank you" to others. Surely this is not for our own selfish desire to hear a forced statement of gratitude but instead is good for them to develop a thankful heart. The world is hectic and distracting. Take a moment to think through this important command with us and seek to "give thanks in everything; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you." (1 Thess. 5:18)

Episode 54: Treasured Discoveries

William Howell talks about the lessons he learned watching his own earthly father and what it taught him about our Heavenly Father. Scripture Memorization

Blessed is the man that meditates day and night on the Word of God. Scripture memorization tends to be emphasized with children but it should have a place in the lives of adults as well. We talk about our own experiences and some tips and tricks that we have learned as we seek to memorize the words of life.

Camp Discipleship

William Howell, known at camp as Uncle Bill, has been the director of a christian camp for 30 years. We talk about his ministry, particularly with the staff members and his desire to see them grow in the Word of God. I have been greatly blessed as a staff member at Story Book Lodge on the receiving end of Uncle Bill's ministry. We got to explore this ministry in our discussion, including things he has learned, changed, and advice that he would give to others seeking to have a similar ministry in the lives of young people.
